Simulation Profiles¶
Virtual I/O modules and behavior models that let the reference plant run every phase template and master recipe without physical hardware. Each unit has two paired resources: a simulated IOModule (the driver the runtime talks to) and a simulated process profile (the physics model that drives sensor readings from actuator commands).
Moving to real hardware?
See I/O for a side-by-side of a simulated IOModule and a real Modbus TCP IOModule, plus the end-to-end bring-up workflow. The rule of thumb: only the IOModule resource changes. Phase templates, control-module templates, recipes, and the HMI are all hardware-agnostic.
